Integrated media in Max/MSP/Jitter

Roger Alsop, Lecturer in Sound, VCA

The integration of media provided by Max/MSP/Jitter. I will be discussing the processes opened up by the program Max/MSP/Jitter, an interactive object oriented programming language that facilitates the integration of audio, video and any other action that can be influenced by a digital data stream.

Hi Roger,
I was impressed in the way you were using MaxMP in the Music domain and I know 10 min is nothing like the time required to explain what Max is. I'm wondering are you using MaxMP with any other input devices i.e. Heat sensors, motion sensors, video mapping?

regards Greg

I too am impressed with Max/Msp/Jitter and its applications for performance art and interactive work. Its just the cost thats holding me back (800.US for the lot).

I have been using Pure Data with Framestein a little. It's open source and made by some of the guys at MaxMsp...

Have you used Pd? How does it compare?
